About the Society

The college is run under the Surjan Singh Risal Singh Memorial Education Society (Regd.). It was established in 1999 under the dynamic leadership of its founder Chairman Sh. S. S. Dagar. The Society envisions achieving a position of excellence in management & information technology by increasing and widening the participation of students in learning activities, and by providing excellence in every field through stimulating new sources of a growing modern society. It seeks to reward, celebrate and encourage excellence in learning, and promotes activities that enhance the quality of education.

History & Legacy

1999

The Society & the Institute are foundedThe Surjan Singh Risal Singh Memorial Education Society (Regd.) is established under founder Chairman Sh. S. S. Dagar, and SIMS begins its journey as an affiliated institute of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi.

2003

Training & Placement Cell establishedA dedicated cell formalises the interface between the institute and industry — internships, pre-placement training and campus recruitment become a permanent part of SIMS life.

2024

NEP-2020 four-year Honours eraBCA, BBA and B.Com move to the four-year Honours structure with multiple entry & exit under GGSIPU’s NEP-2020 curriculum framework.

2025

Convocation & Alumni Meet 2K25Graduating batches are celebrated at the Convocation & Alumni Meet, alongside cultural landmarks like Dazzle 2K25.
