The Bachelor of Computer Applications (Honours) at SIMS, New Delhi — affiliated with GGSIPU and approved by AICTE — is a four-year undergraduate programme providing a strong foundation in Computer Science, Computer Applications and Information Technology. It combines academic excellence with practical learning through modern computer laboratories, experienced faculty, project-based learning, industrial training, workshops, seminars, coding activities and industry interaction — developing technical expertise, analytical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, communication and professional competence for careers in the IT industry, research, consultancy, analytics, higher education and entrepreneurship.
Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 (CBSE or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, with a pass in English (core / elective / functional) and Mathematics or Computer Science or any other subject related to Computer Science.
OR a three-year Diploma in a branch of Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by AICTE and affiliated to a recognised examining body, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Sanctioned intake: 90 + 60 seats across two shifts, admitted through GGSIPU centralised counselling (CET / CUET) · 10% seats under the Management Quota.
The primary objective of SIMS is to foster intellectual growth by promoting critical thinking, computational thinking, creativity, innovation and research — empowering students to generate knowledge and develop technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges in Computer Applications.
The institute follows NEP-2020 in full — students may exit after any year of study and re-enter within the permitted window to complete the programme.
